Is the Thighbrow the Next Thigh Gap? And, If So, Who Cares?
It appears so…if you keep up with the Kardashians that is. Last year, the coveted look for women was the thigh gap (the space between the inner thighs). Now, thanks to a recent Instagram post by Khloe Kardashian, it’s the more attainable #thighbrow. (Make sure to take your photo on a yacht, ladies!) And she’s not the only one jumping on the thighbrow (TB) train—Beyoncé and Kendall Jenner have been showing theirs off as well.
What on earth is a thighbrow? It’s the crease that appears when you’re kneeling, bending forward, or pulling your legs toward your chest. Whether that crease is large or small depends on how you’re built.
Is the thighbrow the great equalizer of the masses? Probably not. But it may help to make more women feel like their shape is sexy. Whereas the thigh gap was a difficult, if not impossible, goal for many women to obtain (you either have the genes, or you don’t), the thighbrow is more inclusive, and comes with a sense of womanly “check-out-my-curves” pride. And, if you can’t make thighbrows because of the way you’re built, fear not—you’re more likely to have the kind of body that forms a thigh gap.
So now there’s love for both skinny ladies and curvy gals. But remember: trends are just that, trends! What’s hot one season will be passé the next, so love your shape no matter what’s “in style.”
